I just bought this several days ago, hooked it up last night, and its gravy. I have a pair of monster interlink mk-II that are very similar to these. Really they’re just beefy audio cables. I prefer to use “nicer” cables than just the plain black and red, but I wouldn’t spend too much on any. These are just fine, the other pair I mentioned are nicer, but I doubt I’ll be able to tell a difference.

This cable was billed not just as a replacement for the Canon STV 250N but the actual cable so I thought I would be getting the identical cord that came with my camera. The one I received is 1/5 to 1/3 shorter. I don’t know what market they are trying to appease by that measure. Also, the mini plug is at a right angle to the cable instead of straight. It’s not a favorable feature if you know the socket hub of the Canon cameras. I don’t know where to go to get the exact copy of the original Canon composite A/V cable, but this ain’t it.

I installed this cable in my car connecting it to an aux input adapter to go from dual RCA plug to stereo mini-pin. It does not work well after just months. Cable inside the mini-pin for right channel is not making good contact, so I keep losing sound on right channel. I can get sound going on right channel by twisting and bending the cable but that does not last long either. I will be getting a better quality replacement.
